Monday, June 25, 2012 – Kennesaw, GA – Thompson Technologies had the pleasure of hosting 450 of its clients, consultants and partners at the Georgia Aquarium for its 12th annual picnic, making this year’s event the largest ever. With eight attractions in view, attendees were encouraged to take in each exhibit at their leisure which included a group viewing of the recently added Dolphin Show.
In the facility’s Ocean Ballroom, lunch was served to guests where they could experience a more intimate view of the Whale Shark tank while participating in a charitable raffle for the opportunity to win: Braves Tickets, Blue-ray DVD Player, Children’s Bikes, Digital Picture Frame, Gift Baskets and iPads.
This year’s beneficiaries included Orphan Concern International (http://orphanconcerninternational.org/) and Camp Sunshine (http://www.campsunshine.org/). This year’s raffle raised nearly $1,900.00 which was matched by owner, David Thompson for a total amount raised of $3,800.00.
According to David Thompson, “The Annual Picnic is a great opportunity for Lori and I to join our internal team to thank our Clients, Consultants, Vendors and their families for their support during the past year. Each year we receive positive notes from the guests, including one from an 8 year old guest – Ally (the daughter of one of our Client Managers).
“Thank you so much for everything!!!! The food was awesome and the venue in the ballroom was breathtaking!!!!
Even though I didn’t win anything, the raffle was fun too!!! It was fun to see if you had the correct numbers, but I thought that it was very nice to give all the money from the raffle to a good cause!!! The animals were sooooo interesting to watch and sometimes even touch!!! I don’t even know how to explain the Dolphin Show!!!! It was so amazing how a fish can do that!!!! The aquarium trip was so fun to go to and I hope we can go again!!!! Thank You so much, and I hope to see you again soon!!!”
Thompson looks forward to continuing this tradition and to raise the standard both in the work place and in the communities we serve.
